I am happy to announce that SHIFTERS project will be shown within the ODESA PHOTO DAYS 2020 program happening from 23 to 26 of April, 2020.
I will present a new short multimedia piece created specially for the event.
My project will be shown on 23 April, 9:00 PM in Photo Screening International Open Call. Selected Series From The Long List!
This year we also decided to present some of the authors from the long list of 'Who Is Next to You' international open call. The international jury was faced with a difficult choice, primarily related to the available physical space for the exhibition, and some series lost by literally one or two points before the final selection to the main exhibition of the festival. We consider it important to show 11 such projects in the evening photo screening.
You can watch the evening of projections online via

NEWS NEWS NEWS / LANDSKRONA FOTO RESIDENCY
Exciting news: I have been selected to be the next artist in residency at Landskrona Foto Residency!!!
I will be there in 2020 working on a site-specific project entitled the love that dare not speak its name. Following the footsteps of Swedish writer Selma Lagerlöf, first woman to receive a Nobel Prize for literature, the project will investigate which traces of her life, intimate thoughts and feelings can be found in Landskrona today. By weaving several elements together including archival footage, the project will actualise Selma's legacy through an exchange with the LGBTQ+ local community.
SHIFTERS was exhibited in Rotacyjny Dom Kultury, Jazdów 3/18, Warsaw
between 12th and 19th of December 2019.
There were as well a music performance // concert by Kuratorki called Podroby. Concert for Animals on December 15th, and artist guided tours.

In the frames of School of Seeing I took part in Rafal Milach (Magnum Photos) & Sebastian Cichocki (Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw) workshops and created a street demonstration banner "LOT", which was presented as part of Rafał Milach's EXHIBITION 'Oscillations' in Galeria Studio, Warsaw curated by Dorota Jarecka.
The banner, created together with Agata Sztorc, Sara Herczyńska & Marta Maliszewska with the help of KN Tęcza, intends to bring back a queer action from 2007, where a similar banner was posted in the streets of Warsaw in an action 'You as well can become a Dyke!" by LOT. Link to Article in Wyborcza newspaper and to my Blog post from 2007.
Milach's exhibition is still on view until February 2nd, 2020 in Galeria Studio.

SCHOOL OF SEEING
Zespołowo prowadzimy obserwacje, negocjujemy interpretacje i wypracowujemy rozwiązania. To czas dyskusji, szukania nowych pomysłów, ćwiczenia się w interpretacji, pobudzania refleksji i doskonalenia warsztatu przydatnego w pracy zawodowej.

My new photography work 'bone marrow' is showing in an art exhibition 'Love Letters to Meem'. Preceeded by a creative writing workshop led by Dima Matta & Cliffhangers in Beirut with a group from lgbtq+ community in Lebanon this exhibition showcases works from 16 artists, who were inspired by the love letters to myself written during that workshop. 'bone marrow' is a photography collage of 14 images. It delves on notions of identity, hide&seek, the stream of consciousness, and the sea as metaphor for looking into yourself. The image reminds of a colour wave, which is achieved by putting together subtly changing tones.
Exhibition on view in Station Beirut gallery from May 2nd, 2018 until May 10th, 2018.
Project funded by Fulbright Alumni Community Action Grant.
